ALOPECIA AWARENESS 🦋
Being 100% vulnerable is one of the hardest things that I’ve ever decided to do. As I’m wearing this star across my heart; I’m thinking and dancing for every single person that is dealing with Alopecia. I love you all 🤍

@ac_latimer stole the spotlight on Monday night in the Lone Star State. The outstanding @dccheerleaders , who has alopecia, proudly performed without a wig for the first time at @attstadium as the @dallascowboys faced off against the Cincinnati @bengals on Monday Night Football.
“Going out on a football field without a wig, cheering in front of 80,000 people, just looking back at the young lady who was sitting in front of her mirror crying because she didn’t have any hair left on her head,” said Latimer. “I tend to get emotional thinking about that journey, but I honestly sitting here today looking back at it, I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.”

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Armani Latimer (@ac_latimer ) has gone viral after she took to the field this week without her wig to raise awareness for alopecia as part of the #MyCauseMyBoots initiative.
“You being different or not having hair … it should never deter you away from reaching for your dreams and your goals.” 💙🤍

At age 12, Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Armani Latimer was diagnosed with alopecia areata, a condition that causes hair loss. While she typically wears a wig when she cheers, last night's Monday Night Football game was the first time she opted to go without (she also wore boots supporting alopecia awareness as part of the #MyCauseMyBoots initiative).
"People see cheerleaders and assume they're flawless. While that's obviously not true, I still found myself having to unlearn the idea that I needed to be perfect to be on the team," Armani tells WH. "Now that I’m more vocal about my condition, I know that alopecia doesn’t define me—it just adds character to who I am."
